Jae P. Gronewold, 79, of Junction City, died Nov. 5, 2015 at her home. Jae was born Nov. 2, 1936 in Oakchun, South Korea, the daughter of Yu Sung Duk and Jung Ka Ae. Jae attended all of her schooling in South Korea. Jae worked for 20 years at Penn Enterprises in Junction City.
Jae was a member of the Korean Church in Manhattan.
Jae married John Gronewold in Seoul, South Korea on Feb. 1, 1961. John died Nov. 28, 1999. Survivors include: a son, Michael Gronewold and wife Rosemarie, Temecula, Calif.; 2 brothers, Jae Myung Yu and wife Hu Sun, Junction City, Jae Yon Yu and wife Jung He, La Mirada, Calif.; 3 sisters, Jae Rexrode and husband Larry, Junction City, Jae Im So, Chino Hills, Calif., and Jae Park and husband Peter, Placentia, Calif.; and 2 grandchildren, Brantley and Brittany Gronewold. Jae was preceded in death by her parents and husband John.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tues., Nov. 10, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Burial will follow at Ft. Riley Post Cemetery on Ft. Riley. A visitation will be 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., and a Prayer Service 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., all on Monday, Nov. 9th at the funeral home.
