Memorial services for Jack M. Blanken, 66, of Junction City will be Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 2:00PM at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with Bishop George Fitzsimons officiating. Mr. Blanken passed away at Geary Community Hospital, February 10, 2005. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m., one hour prior to service time at Penwell-Gabel JohnsonChapel. Mr. Blanken was born March 14, 1938, Junction City, KS to Bernard and Fern (Archbold) Blanken. He graduated from Junction City High School. He joined the United States Army in 1958 serving until 1961. Following his term in the Army he returned to Junction City, KS. He worked for Civil Service at Fort Riley, KS as a Electrician for 29 years retiring in 1995.
He married Karen E. Ehm October 1, 1964, Junction City, KS.
Mr. Blanken is survived by his wife Karen of Junction City, one son, Eric B. Blanken of Topeka, KS, one brother; Robert Blanken of Junction City, one sister; Bernice Slade of Las Vegas, NV.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
