Izola Tribble

Izola "Mattie" (Griffin) Tribble was born August 12, 1918 in Moorehead, Mississippi to Steve and Mary (Wills) Griffin. She departed on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Valley View Senior Life Center at the age of 94 years.

She was united in holy matrimony to Tommie Tribble, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Tribble, by three sisters, Ollie Rattle, Lucy McDate, and Frankie Kendrick, and by two brothers, Lacy Griffin and Willie Hull, Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two daughters, Ann (Tribble) and husband Herbert Tillman of Junction City and Maggie Tribble of Detroit, MI. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Deborah Bryant of Tampa, FL; Delisa, Ricky, Tasha, Antonie Tribble and Steve Williams of Detroit, MI; Barbara Tribble of Aurora, CO; Doris Gordon, Vincent Bailey, and Jesse Bailey, Jr. of Junction City; and Denise Tribble of Henderson, NV.

She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren: Virginia and RaShawndra Bryant of August, GA; Vincent, Gelisa, Delano, and JaNay Howell of Detroit, MI; MI; Endia, and Elijah Spann of Henderson, NV; Emanuel King of Henderson, NV; Myrketta, Gordon, and Cedric Helms of Junction City; Joshua Robinson and Jordan Jenkins of Aurora, CO; Joshua, Orion, Shantal, Damesha Tribble, Treasure Wooten and Maya Williams of Detroit, MI; and Jermaine, Javon, and Jesse Bailey, III of Junction City.

She also leaves 5 great-great grandchildren to cherish her memory: Lijah, Chyanne, Chanel, Ra'Ana. and Samarih.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel, 805 Caroline Ave. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel with Pastor Nathan Dudley officiating.
