Services for Irene T. Moritz, 91, Salina, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at St. Xavier's Catholic Church with Bishop George Fitzsimons officiating. The parish rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the organization of the donor's choice,

Irene was born December 19, 1913 on a farm near Milford KS the daughter of Albert and Anges (Oliver) Moritz. She was a long-time resident of Salina, KS.

Irene was a Registered Nurse and had graduated from St. John's Hospital School of Nursing. She was the first nurse hired at the Mowery Clinic in Salina. She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina and a member of St. John's Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.

She is survived by three brothers; Warren E. Moritz, Dana Point, CA, Raymond R. Moritz, Wichita, KS and Robert J. Moritz , Blue Eye, MO; three sisters: Helen Lester, Rockford, IL, Rose Ann Fisher Olathe, KS and Pearl Munyer, Sacramento, CA.. and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Edith Peyre and a baby brother Albert Moritz, Jr.

Organist will be Anita Hernandez. Vocalist will be Joan Keating

Pallbearers Will be Steven Moritz, James Moritz, Philip Straub, Michael Maurer, Peter Kohlrus and Morris Greenwood.
