Ira Gene Miller

Memorial services for Ira Gene Miller, 54, Junction City will be 10 a.m., Saturday March 8, 2008 with Pastor William Ocean officiating. Mr. Miller passed away March 2, 2008 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. Ira was born January 1, 1954 in Norfolk, VA, the son of James A, Miller and Jean-Ellwood Johnson Miller, both passed away in 1964.

Ira worked construction and in the oil fields and rigs of the Gulf of Mexico as a cook, before his illness made him unable to work. He served in the US Army in the early years of the 70's. Ira never married.

Surviving are five brothers and sisters; Johnnie L. Wadley III, Michael L. Miller, Renee C. Seward, James A. Miller Jr. and Karen Jean Burkhalter, Ira's daughter; Rosemary Anderson Williams and five grandchildren, Ligee D., Bria N., Nigel M., Ziare M., and Kimmani M. Williams and a host of Aunts, uncles and cousins.
