Ilona M. Woodson

Funeral services for Ilona M. Woodson, 68, Junction City will be 1:30 pm Friday, September 12, 2008 at Ward Chapel AME. Burial will follow at Highland Cemtery. Mrs. Woodson passed away September 6, 2008 at Good Samaritan Center. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue.

Ilona was born May 27, 1940 in Junction City, KS the daughter of Cecil B. and Lorraine (Shields) Turner. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Junction City. In 1958 she married Leslie J. Woodson of Mount Pleasant, TN. The couple later separated.

Survivors include six children Donnell Turner, Lawrence, KS, Tory Woodson, Dallas, TX, Kinsey Woodson and wife Rose, Junction City, KS, Yvonne McAfee, Manhattan, KS, Taunia Moore, Junction City, KS and Lucretia Meads and husband Larry, El Paso, TX, five brothers; Rayford J. McDonald, Jackie L. McDonald, Gaylord O. McDonald, Maynard McDonald, and Troy Scroggins; two sisters; Montrula L. Shelby an Cymbalene A. Crawley, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Darcey Turner.
