Funeral services for Ida Jean Williams, 77, of Wakefield, will be Monday, April 4, 2005, 9 a.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, with Reverend Dr. Joe Belardo officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2005, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Cremation will follow with graveside services at a later date. Mrs. Williams passed away March 30, 2005 at the Wakefield Rehabilitation Center. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, c/o Memorial & Honor Program, P.O. Mrs. Williams was born December 31, 1927, Nashville, TN to Raymond Belle and Lucille Harvey. On June 16, 1949 she married Alonzo Williams, Jr., Mount Union, Pennsylvania where she lived until August 1988. She then moved to San Diego, CA for about 10 years before moving to Junction City, KS . She was a seamstress and a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters, Brenda (Van) Boyd of Junction City, KS, Barbara K. Williams of Chambersburg, PA, Nancy J. Williams of Lancaster, PA and Rachel (Kevin) Chapman of San Diego, CA, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Helen Lewis of Atlantic City, NJ, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo in 1975, her brother Marion Harvey, her mother Lucille Harvey Batey.
