Hildegard Maria (Hase) Kelley, 84, of Junction City, departed this life on August 29th, 2013.
She was born in Rumburg, Czechoslovakia on 5 July 1929. Her parents were Reinhold Hase and Anne (Hebrich) Hase.
After her basic education she attended a clerical school. This led to several jobs, the last one being with NATO at Campbel Barracks, Heidelburg, Germany. There in her office was a young American soldier named John Kelley. After a short courtship, they married on 9 May 1963. They celebrated their Golden Anniversary this year. This marriage was terminated by her death on 29 August 2013 at age 84. Hilde or "Kelley", as she preferred to be called, passed away peacefully at their home doing what she loved- gardening.
Viewing will be Wednesday, 4 September from 4 to 6 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel located at 203 N Washington St in Junction City, KS.
A graveside service will be held to celebrate her life on Tuesday, 10 September at 10 AM at the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery in Manhattan, KS.
