Funeral services for Hermina Vina Marston, 95, Adams, NE formerly of Junction City, KS. will be 11 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Alida-Upland Cooperative Parish, 2243-3300 Ave., northeast of Chapman, KS with Pastor Ross Olson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Street in Junction City. Mrs. Marston passed away on September 27, 2008 at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams, NE.
Hermina was born November 4, 1912 in her family farm home in Dickinson County to Herman and Annie (Alexander) Gfeller. She attended a one room school house grades 1-8 and graduated from Chapman High School in 1932. She worked Civil Service at Fort riley from 1964 to 1981. She was active with the election board and was a past president of the Geary County Republican Women.
She married Ralph "Pete" Marston January 9, 1935, he preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by sisters, Hulda Roach, Matilda Shafer, and Jane Taylor, brothers Clarence Gfeller Wuethrich, and Alfred Gfeller, Sr.
Survivors include her brother Clifford Gfeller, Dickinson County Kansas, sons, Stan Marston (wife Karen), Littleton Colorado, Terry Marston (wife, Dorothy) of Adams, Nebraska, and three grandchildren, Brad Marston, Kimberly Manning, and Jeff Marston; five great grandchildren.
