Henrika Tietz
Henrika Tietz, 68, of Junction City, died Oct. 1, 2014 at her home. Henrika was born Oct. 2, 1945 in Marburg, Germany. She attended schools in Germany, and came to the United States in 1974. She worked at Mobile Travelers for several years, and later for 10 years as a merchandise picker at the Woolworth Distribution Warehouse in Junction City. She later worked in payroll in the crossing guard office at Ft. Riley.
Henrika married Paul Tietz on Aug. 9, 1980 at Normandy Chapel at Ft. Riley. He survives. Other survivors include: a son, Steven Werner, Florida; 2 daughters, Susan Hearn and husband Kelly, Chapman, and Angela Shaffer and husband Greg, South Point, Ohio; a step-son, Thomas E. Tietz, Frankfort, Kentucky; 2 step-daughters, Manuela Tietz and her husband Peter, Bamburg, Germany, and Leona Deleon, Frankfort, Kentucky; 2 brothers, Robert Schafer and Gunter Schafer, both in Germany; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandsons. Henrika was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Heika.
Cremation has taken place.
