Helena Marie Mays

Helena Marie Mays, 6 of Junction City, KS passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, GA. Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11 a.m., at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue, Junction City, KS with Pastor Darion Thompson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to the family in care of Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel.

Helena was born July 13, 2003 in Junction City, KS to Taneka Thompson and Robert Ford.

She is survived by her mother and step-father Taneka and Kenneth Thompson of Smyrna, Georgia her father and step-mother Robert and Kimberly Ford of Fort Drum, New York. Five sisters, Tiearra, Kiyah, Cireya, Kamiera and Gabriella. Three brothers Tawan, Martin and Keon. Three step-sisters Kim, Ashley and Ahreeona. Three step-brothers Kord, Kenneth and Nicholas. Her grandmother Song Mays of Junction City, KS, Uncle Joe Mays of Junction City, KS, Uncle Eddie Mays of Oklahoma City, OK and several cousins.

Helena spent her short time on this earth living life to the fullest. She served as a beacon of hope and inspiration to all whom she met and whom came in contact with her. Helena will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts and mind for eternity.
