Funeral services for Helen C. Miller, 73, of Junction City will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed., Oct. 12, 2005, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Mrs. Miller passed away at her residence on October 10, 2005. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64105 and/or Eagle's Ladies Auxiliary, 203 E. 10th Street, Junction City, KS 66441.
Mrs. Miller was born November 1, 1931, Milford, KS to Edward C. and Lucille M. (Clark) Wilson. She married Richard E. "Bud" Miller February 7, 1948, he preceded her in death August 28, 1980. Mrs. Miller worked for Geary County for 30 years, retiring from the Register of Deeds office in 1993. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, #830.
She is survived by two sons; Richard Miller of Broken Arrow, OK and Tom Miller of Mesquite, TX, three brothers; Walter C. Wilson of Bard, CA, Billy D. Wilson of Spring Valley, CA and Harlan H. Wilson of San Diego, CA, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son; Jack Edward Miller, two sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Martin Hemingway, Ken Talley, David Tibbitts, Robert McCaleb, and Earl Johnson
