Funeral service for Hazel M. Haley, 91, of Junction City, will be Monday, May 22, 2006, 10 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington St. Pastor Ronnie Roberts will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday, May 20, 2006, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery. Mrs. Haley passed away May 16, 2006 at Geary Community Hospital. Memorials may be given to the Friends of Animals, P.O. Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441.
Mrs. Haley was born July 15, 1914, in Parkerville, KS, daughter of George and Clair (Owen) Baker. Over the years, she was employed by Allen's Grocery Store, Coles, and Gibsons. She was also a homemaker and member of the First Christian Church.
Mrs. Haley married Gerald E. Haley October 31, 1942 in Manhattan, KS; he preceded her in death April 29, 2003.
Survivors include one son, Darrel Haley of Pawling, NY; four grandchildren, Chris Haley of CA, Debbie McCallister, Shari Hester, and Patty Paxton all of Junction City; and four great-grandchildren, Amy Deese, Jennifer Hester, Jacob McCallister, and Jeremy Hester all of Junction City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sandra Jacobs; four brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jordi Hester, Jeremy Hester, Jacob McCallister, Chris Gannon, Dana Deese, and Danny McCallister.
Musicians will be Florence Whitebread, Organist and Ken Martin, Vocalist
