Harvey Laster, Sr

Funeral services for Harvey Laster Sr, 79 of Junction City will be Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11:00 am Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington St. Burial will follow with full Military Honors at Fort Riley Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel from 6-8 pm. Mr. Laster passed away on December 16, 2010 at Mercy Regional Hospital. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10580 Barkley Suite 400, Overland Park, KS 66441.

Harvey was born March 17, 1931 to Curtis Laster and Bonnell Ross in . He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ella Laster who passed away on March 22, 2006. He retired as a cook for the United States Army for 43 years. He served in the Korean and Vietnam War. Mr. Laster was also a boxer in the Military.

He is survived by four sons, Gary Laster of Lawrence, KS, Harvey Laster, Jr, Robert Laster both of Junction City, David Laster of Ogden; two daughters, Diana Laster of Junction City and Shirley Laster of Virginia. Ten grandchildren and three-great-grandchildren.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents.
