Memorial Services for Harry LeRoy Ryan, Jr. 53, Junction City, Kansas will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 14, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue, Junction City. Mr. Ryan passed away Friday, July 7, 2006, at Geary Community Hospital and cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be given to the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center, 2200 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, KS 66622.
Mr. Ryan was born September 16, 1952, Ticonderoga, NY to Harry L. and Phyllis H. (Boyle) Ryan, Sr. He served in the U S Army in Vietnam from May of 1971 to July 1973.
He married Karene Luhtala September 7, 1974 at Port Henry, NY, she survives of the home. He had been a resident of Junction City since 2001 and was a auto mechanic. At the time of his death he was working for Wal-Mart in Junction City.
He is also survived by two sons, Dorian Morse of Plattsburgh, NY and Joshua Morse of Whallonsburgh, NY, one daughter, Angela Higgins and her husband Michael of Fort Riley, KS, one brother, Michael Ryan of Port Henry, NY, four sisters, Paula Anson of Westport, NY, Sue Baker of Port Henry, NY, Cathy King of Willsboro, NY and Donna Plank of Elizabethtown, NY and seven grandchildren; Malea, Geordan, Cheyanne, Ashley, Tristan, Solan and Mackenzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Honorary casket bearers will be Michael Higgins, Michael Ryan, Rick Plank, Alan King, Frank King and Hal Hayes.
