Harry Lee Keen, 54, of Junction City, KS, passed away on May 6, 2018,
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday May 16, 2018, 10:00am, at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd., Manhattan, KS, with Pastor James Johnson officiating.
Harry "Pop Pop" Keen was born on May 30, 1963 in Cumberland, Virginia to Omar and Ruby (Thompson) Keen. He grew up there as a boy and graduated high school class of 1982. Afterwards he joined the United State Army. With his military obligation, he moved to many duty stations. He also received many awards and decorations including but not limited to: The National Defense Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal with 3rd Oak Leaf Cluster Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Army Commendation Medal 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (2), Overseas Service Ribbon (2), and Army Lapel Button.
He worked for Schneider National Trucking Company for over 22 years.
On May 30, 2006 he married Karen Keen and they were residents of Junction City, Kansas.
Harry was a car fanatic. He loved to wax his cars. While doing so, he would enjoy the steady melody of his favorite band, Black Sabbath.
Though he loved his cars, he was ultimately a family man. He was a loving husband, caring father, and adoring grandpa. Harry was a humanitarian. He would do anything for those in need.
He will be truly missed by family and friends.
Harry is survived by his loving family: wife, Karen of the home; his daughter, Dominique Perry of Junction City, KS; grandson, Cameron Queen of Junction City, KS; brother, John Keen of Oxford, PA; father-In-law, Willie and wife Yvonne Perry of Junction City, KS; and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Omar and Ruby Keen.
