Grace H. Harris

A funeral service for Grace H. Harris, 89, long time resident of Junction City will be, 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington St., with Reverend Ronnie Roberts officiating. Burial will follow the service at Milford Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Grace passed away Friday, April 9, 2010, in Manhattan, Kansas, surrounded by her family. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary's Rd., Junction City, KS 66441.

Grace was born October 27, 1920, in Junction City, Kansas the daughter of John H. and Sarah (Warner) Johnston.

Grace worked for the IGA Grocery Store in Junction City for many years. She also worked for the Good Samaritan Care Facility in Junction City. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church and enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, spending time with her Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and an occasional trip to the casino. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Beulah Hohman, Howard Johnston, Georgetta Brazzle, Viola Gustafson, Lester Johnston, Floyd Johnston, Sarah Furrow.

Grace is survived by sister, Doris Brumm of Enterprise, KS, daughter Diana Wilson of Ventura, CA, son and daughter-in-law Earl and Marci Harris of Manhattan, KS. Grace is also survived by grandchildren Cindy Wilson of Pasadena, CA, Brenda Petersen (Brad) of Los Osos, CA, Kevin Wilson (Joy) of Bend, OR, and step-grandson Russell Epperson of Kansas City, MO. Grace is also survived by great-grand children, Ian and Kyra Wilson, and Ben, Carli and Henry Petersen.
