Memorial services will be held for Goldie I. Roberts, 87, of Salina, KS, Monday, February 4, 2002 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Junction City,KS. Goldie died January 31, 2002 at the Salina Regional Medical Center, Salina, KS. Goldie was born December 17, 1914 at Parsons, KS to Edward and Bertha (Towbo) Bisnett. She married Francis "Hap" Johnston on September 9, 1933, he preceded her in death on February 14, 1956, she re-married George "Bud" Hayes on October 1, 1966, he preceded her in death, she later married Louis Roberts on July 4, 1976, he preceded her in death. Goldie was employed at Geary Community Hospital as a nurses aide for 30 years prior to her retirement. She was active with the VFW and the Eagles Auxiliarys for many years, She was a member of the Episcopal Church and attended the Madura Congregational Church in Wakefield, prior to her move to Salina. She is survived by One Daughter; Irene Cardwell of Salina, KS, Four Sisters; Alice Erickson, Lorene Erickson and Opal Sherbert all of Wakefield, KS, Betty Burch from Canton, KS. Eight grandchildren, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren and Four Great Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,One Daughter; Waneta Mae Bowman (1989), One Son Charles Edward (1981)Four Sisters and Two Brothers. Inurnment will be at Milford Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to the donors choice.
