Graveside services for Glenda A. Irwin, 69, of Junction City will be Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Manhattan, KS at 2 p.m. with Rev Dr. Joe Belardo officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at, Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Mrs. Irwin passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Geary Community Hospital. She was born April 1, 1941 in Hutchinson, Kansas. She received her bachelor's degree in teaching at Emporia State. She went on to teach Business in Kinsley, Kansas. She married Buck W. Irwin on February 6, 1965 in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Glenda traveled with Buck during his military career. She has been to Germany several times and to Hawaii as well. After Buck retired from the military, they stayed in Junction City, Kansas to raise their family.
Glenda worked and retired from Sprint and later worked for the local Dillon's Store. After leaving Dillon's she spent her time with her husband and enjoying her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Buck, her children Patsy, Sara, Glen, and Michelle, and her grandchildren Lillian, Johnathan, Hunter, and Hattie.
