Gladys Richardson, 80, of Junction City, died on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Valley View Senior Life Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 1010 Burke Drive with Pastor Edwin Young officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church. Burial following the service will take place at Highland Cemetery in Junction City. Memorial contributions have been designated to the Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 1010 Burke Drive, Junction City, KS 66441.
Gladys Marie Lucille Richardson (known as Fank by siblings) was born November 25, 1931 in Hickory Valley, Tennessee to Theodore and Roberta (McGowan) Morrow.
She married Horace Richardson on January 9, 1982 in Junction City at the Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church. He survives of the home.
Gladys worked outside the home for several years while living in Fulton, Kentucky. In 1967, she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as a cook. Cooking was something that she enjoyed very much.
She moved to Junction City in 1979 at which time she became a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. Her love for God was first in her life and the people of God
She was promoted from this life on July 23, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Morrow, her mother, Roberta Morrow, a sister, Leaverne Robinson, and a brother, Franklin D. Morrow. She is survived by three sons, David Eddie Polk and wife Ada of Fulton, KY, Willie James Gardner and wife Maria and Terry Lee Morrow and wife Sherry both of Junction City, KS, and by two daughters, Alice Frances Morrow and Ruby May Morrow both of Junction City. She is also survived by two brothers, David Morrow of Chicago, IL and Bishop Morrow and wife Renee of Perris, CA, Other survivors include Virginia Allison of Chicago, IL, Classie Mae Davis of South Fulton, TN, Cora Williamson and husband Charlie of Chicago, IL as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She will be greatly missed.
