Gladys Pugh

Funeral services for Gladys M. Pugh, 75, of Junction City will be Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 am at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Ave., with Reverend Redo Purnell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 6-8 pm, at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Mrs. Pugh passed away on January 3, 2011 at Chapman Valley Manor. Memorial contributions may be made to, Friends of Animals, P.O. Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441 and or Chapman Valley Manor, 1009 Marshall, Chapman, KS 67431.

Gladys was born June 2, 1935 to Jewell & May (Wisman) Williams in Galena, Kansas. She later married William "Bill" Pugh in April of 1952. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1996.

She worked for Geary Community Hospital and then she was a clerk for Geary County Appraiser's office for over 10 years. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and traveling.

Gladys is survived by her life partner, Robert Witt, Sr. One son; William K. Pugh of Junction City. Two daughters; Linda Jean Henderson, of Junction City and Jennifer Hope Klote, of Olathe. Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Pugh, parents, daughter Kari Mae Pugh and a sister Mary Smith.
