Gladys M. (Olds) Warner, 84 of Junction City, formerly of Westmoreland, passed away January 12, 2005 at the Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 15, 2005, 1-2 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. A graveside service will be held immediately after the visitation, 3:30 p.m., at Westmoreland City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Susan B. Komen Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309 and/or Gladys M. Warner Memorial, c/o Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, P.O. Box 826, Junction City, KS 66441.
Ms. Warner was born May 22, 1920 in Industry, KS, daughter of Albert W. and Emma (Shane) Olds. She retired from USD 475 in food service.
Ms. Warner married Louis E. Warner, Sr. August 13, 1936; he preceded her in death March 13, 1979.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Survivors include her son, Louis Warner, Jr. of Mound City; four daughters, Sylvia Schonberner of Junction City, Barbara Shannon of Manhattan, Carol Jones of Liberty, MO and Sharon Turner of Mound City; one brother, Albert Olds of Milwaukie, OR; one sister, Hazel DeLay of Chapman; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Helen Wolf, Clara Kolling and Dorothy Mitchell; one brother, George Olds; and one grandchild, Mark Turner.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Shannon, Robert Warner, Jim Hayes, Jason Hall, Louis E. Warner, III, Ricky Turner, Billy Turner and Doug Schonberner.
