Services for Gladys E. McCoy , 88, of Topeka, (Formerly of Junction City, KS)
will be held at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, February 12, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Ronnie Roberts of the First Christian Church will officiate. Gladys died February 8, 2003 at Topeka Manor Care Nursing Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral
Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, KS. Memorial Contributions may be made to Gideon's International, c/o Jerry Dye, 1603 Raymond Court, Junction City, KS 66441. Gladys was born June 16, 1914, at Cincinnati,OH to George E. and Catherine Elizabeth (Ilg) Hughes. Gladys graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1932, and then attended
West Virginia Business College. She married Robert A. McCoy, January 12, 1935 at Oakland, MD, he preceded her in death March 16, 1944, later married Lawrence A. Gault September 19,1952 at Caraopolis, PA, he preceded her in death December 1, 1968, later married Frank E. McCoy December 19, 1973 at Caraopolis, PA, he preceded her in death June 13, 1975. Gladys lived in Coraopolis, PA from 1941 to 1986, she worked as a Secretary for Blaw-Knox Company, she later became employed with KTA-Tator Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA where she worked as secretary/office manager for 27 years until her retirement in 1984, she moved to Junction City, KS in 1986 to be closer to her daughter. She had been a member of Ladies Reading Club in Junction City, KS, as well as a member of the First Christian Church. While living in Pennsylvania, she was a member of the First Baptist Church where she held several offices and taught Sunday
School for many years. Survivors: One Son; Thomas E. McCoy of Lake City, MI, Two Daughters; Judith Miller of Topeka, Kansas and Mary Kay Woodford of Philippi, WV, Eight Grandchildren and Seven Great-Grandchildren. Preceded In Death By: Parents, Two Brothers, Edward R. Hughes and Howard Hughes, One
