Gisela Maria Marchesi

Gisela Maria Marchesi, 93, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Fort Riley Main Post Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2022, from 5:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. at Johnson Funeral Home. For those attending the graveside service, please meet at Johnson Funeral Home by 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday to follow the funeral procession to the cemetery.

Gisela was born July 17, 1928, in Pistau, Czech Republic the daughter of Josef and Maria (Schweinitzer) Egerer.

Gisela was baptized as a Roman Catholic July 22, 1928 at the Pistau Parish Church.

She married August Fred Marchesi on July 15, 1952. He passed away in 1982.

Survivors include one son Randolph A. Marchesi and his wife Valerie of Junction City, KS; one daughter, Doris Rosa Marie Galvan and her husband John of Junction City, KS; four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Oswald Egerer; one sister, Berta Ehberger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband August and one son, Jim L. Marchesi who passed away January 24, 2011.
