Gertrude Mcnair

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel for Gertrude W. McNair, 71, Junction City. Father Al Brungardt will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will be 6 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel. Mrs. McNair passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, at her home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Gertrude was born November 26, 1940, in Warsaw, Poland the daughter of Leopold and Victoria Friese.
Gertrude was the owner and operator of her own day care business in Junction City for many years having retired in 2005. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her garden growing both flowers and vegetables.
She married Willie McNair August 5, 1961 in Germany. He passed away April 27, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Margaret and one granddaughter, Victoria McNair-Miles.
Survivors include two sons, Jesse J. McNair of Junction City, KS. and Willie B. McNair of Solomon, KS. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two very special friends, Pauline Leone and Linda Criss.
