Gertrud A. "Trudy" Neal, 85, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Trudy's home in Junction City. Memorial contributions have been designated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
Trudy was born April 21, 1930, in Mannheim, Germany the daughter of George and Gertrud (Gelgen) Sauer. Trudy worked and retired from AAFES in retail management. For many years she was a member of the German American Club in Junction City. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter Patricia Junghans and her husband Greg of Manhattan. She is also survived by two grandsons Grant and Chase Junghans both of Manhattan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, George, Erich and Helmut and two sisters, Maria and Lilo.
