Gertrud Johnson, 88, of Junction City, passed away on February 3, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital, Kansas City, KS. Cremation is taking place and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
Gertrud was born on September 1, 1932, Karlsruhe, Germany to Otto and Sophie (Förderer) Mahlschnee
Gertrud worked for Hardee's for many years and earned the nickname "The Biscuit Maker" and was also a homemaker.
She met Colon R. Johnson, Jr. in 1963 and they married January 3, 1964 in Karlsruhe, Germany, Colon survives of the home.
Gertrud is also survived by her three children, Gabi (Sandro) Paoloni of Karlsruhe, Germany, Mary Ann (Jerry) Kellerman of Milford, KS and Jo Ann Gertrud (Bryan) Haycook of Junction City, KS; three granddaughters, one grandson and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Veronika Reeb and her brother, Fritz Mahlschnee
