Gayla L. Barncord, 66 of Milford township, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2004 at her residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial service at the First Christian Church at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2004 in Junction City. Pastor Kurt Rovenstine will officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church, 1429 St. Marys Rd., Junction City, Kansas 66441.
She was born July 9, 1938 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Elmer E. and Nila M. Spaulding Barncord. She lived most of her life in Topeka until moving to the Milford township in 1996. She was a graduate of Topeka High School. She worked for the State Office building in Topeka until her retirement.
She is survived by a daughter, Dori Farrow of Milford township and a son, Rory Sturm of Denver, CO., four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elmer Barncord, Jr.
