Gary Leo Sacher

Gary Leo Sacher, 69, of Grandview Plaza, KS, passed away on January 2, 2020. Johnson Funeral Home is assisting family with cremation arrangements.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Grandview Plaza Community Building, 402 State Ave., Grandview Plaza, KS 66441.

Gary was born on March 5, 1950, in Ft. Lewis, Washington, to Leo and Ilah (Schroeder) Sacher. He and his family lived in many duty stations due to his father's military career. They ultimately settled in Junction City, Kansas, where Gary attended Junction City High School. He went on to work in various positions to include being the manager of tire maintenance and was a council member for the City of Grandview Plaza.

Gary is survived by his loving family: his daughter, Rosalee A. (Antoinette) Sacher of Grandview Plaza, KS; his son, Chris M. (Cathi) Sacher of Abilene, KS; his two sisters, Roxie Heller and Cheri Shanks both of Junction City, KS; his grandson, Kelvin A. Sacher of Abilene; his granddaughter, Cheyenne M. Sacher of Junction City, KS; ex-wife and close friend, Vivian Grimes of Junction City, KS; and a host of loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents Ilah M. and Leo F. Sacher and his sisters, Dale Davis and Maxine Blocker.
