Gary W. Dugan, 75, of Junction City, KS, passed away on April 25, 2018 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS.

A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 pm on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Main Post Chapel on Fort Riley with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society, online at www.cancer.org ~ or ~ Disabled American Veterans, online at www.ihelpveterans.org.

He was born on August 19, 1942, Raccoon Ford, Virginia to William and Flora (Nelson) Dugan.

Gary served his country in the US Army for many years until his retired in 1984. During his service he was awarded the following: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Air Medal w/3rd Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon "2", NCO Professional Development Ribbon "5", Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), Meritorious Service Medal, and Army Commendation Medal.

He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, and American Legion of Junction City.

Gary is survived by his Two Daughters, Melody (John) McDowall of Junction City, KS, and Melissa (Dale) Dennison of Junction City, KS; Two Sisters, Mescal (Otis) Burke of Culpeper, VA, and Glenda (Harold) Smith of Jacksonville, NC; Brother, Michael (Linda) Dugan of Raccoon Ford, VA; Four Granddaughters, Madison McDowall, Isabella McDowall, Demi D. Dennison all of Junction City, KS, and Drew Dennison of Wichita, KS; Four Grandsons, Dugan D. Dennison of Junction City, KS, Jarod Junghans of Kansas City, KS, Josh Junghans of Junction City, KS, and Troy Marcus of Destin, FL; along with other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, William and Flora Dugan, and his Brother, Duane "Cotton" Dugan.

Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, of Junction City, is assisting the family with arrangements.
