Garry Eugene Reed

Garry Eugene "G.R." Reed, 81, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Geary Community Hospital. A graveside service with military honors will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Fort Riley Main Post Cemetery. Everyone planning on attending the graveside service is asked to meet at Johnson Funeral Home by 9:30 a.m.
Garry was born August 13, 1940, in Harrisburg, PA the son of Lester D. and Edna M. (Brunner) Reed.
Garry graduated from the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. He later joined the United States Army retiring as a CW2. He later worked as a civil servant at Fort Riley, KS. He enjoyed playing the lottery.
He married Theresa Ann Gianquitto March 8, 1959, in Hagerstown, MD. She died January 1, 1998.
Survivors include his daughter, Dorie L. Edge of Riverview, FL; two granddaughters, Alexia Kesner of Junction City, KS and Davita Kesner of Riverview, FL; one great-granddaughter, Journee Alston; one brother, Lester Reed of Ocala, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Theresa.
