Gabriele E. "Gaby" Parvin, 72, of Junction City died October 30, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
She was born on May 31, 1941, Schweinfurt, Germany, the daughter of Martin J. & Margaretha Michiels.
Gaby attended schools in Schweinfurt, Germany, where she graduated from high school.
Gaby worked for many years at Ft. Riley as a finance clerk. Previously she had worked as chief records clerk at the Junction City Police Dept. Gaby enjoyed listening to classical music, watching classic movies, and working crossword puzzles. She loved her grandchildren and her cats.
Gaby is survived by her son, Matthias "Eddie" Parvin and his wife Barbara, Junction City; 4 grandchildren, Brett Parvin, Nadia Sego, Theresa Parvin, and Elizabeth Baldwin; and 1 great~granddaughter, Riley Jean Parvin.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at the Highland Cemetery, Junction City. The family will greet friends Tuesday, November 5, 2013, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.
