Frieda M. Gillette
Frieda M. Gillette, 80, of Junction City, passed away January 26, 2004 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. Visitation will be Thursday, January 29, 2004, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday, January 30, 2004, 1:00 p.m., at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Pastor Levi Kickhaefer will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Riley Cemetery.
Frieda was born September 20, 1923, in Germany, daughter of George and Margaret (Wittig) Spanner. She married William F. Gillette July 12, 1960 in Nurnberg, Germany. He preceded her in death November 15, 1995.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Wiginton of Milford, KS; one step-son, Wayne Gillette Leinsz of Antioch, TN; one step-daughter, Carol Zannelotti of Buffalo, NY; one brother, Walter Spanner of Heilsbronn, Germany; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and seven brothers.
