Freddie W. Cameron, 75, of Manhattan, KS, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Stoneybrook Retirement Community. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Chapel located at 203 N. Washington Street in Junction City, KS. Inurnment will follow the service at Highland Cemetery. Pastor Barry Park with University Christian Church will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to University Christian Church 2800 Claflin Road Manhattan, KS. 66502.
Freddie was born on December 21, 1942, Junction City, KS the son of Orville and Bertha (Turnbull) Cameron.
Freddie graduated from Junction City High School with the class of 1965. He was very proud of his graduation and maintaining a close relationship with his classmates from the class of 1965. He enjoyed sending birthday cards to friends and family. He remembered many birth dates and anniversary dates. He was an avid Junction City Blue Jay Fan and KSU Fan. He was a member of the University Christian Church in Manhattan, KS.
Freddie is survived by his mother Bertha Cameron of Junction City, KS; one brother, Allen Cameron and his wife Barbara of Wichita, KS; two sisters, Ruth Dishman and her husband Wayne of Junction City KS and Betty Wondra and husband Ron of Concordia, KS.
He was preceded in death by his father Orville and one brother Gary.
