Frank Narducci, Jr., 74, of Junction City, passed away Nov. 8, 2003 at Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will be held Wed., Nov. 12, 2003, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Funeral service will be Thurs., Nov. 13, 2003, 11:00 a.m., at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. A military chaplain will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with full military honors.
Frank was born Apr. 3, 1929 in Greenville, MI, son of Frank and Ida (Luthill) Narducci. He joined the Michigan State Troops in Lansing, and went on to serve in the Army for 6 years. Frank served during the Korean war and received the Bronze Star, and the KSM w/3 BSS UNSM Medical Badge. After the army, he worked at the Coca-Cola Plant and Civil Service at DIO Maintanence in Fort Riley until his retirement. Frank married Sally Kurashma June 19, 1951 in Yokohama, Japan; she survives of Junction City.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #45, Manhattan VFW, Horse Calvary, and the Eagles Club. Frank enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Frank is survived by his wife; three sons, Mark and David Narducci, both of Junction City, and Frank III Narducci of Winfield, KS; three daughters, Carolyn Nielsen of Riverside, CA, Barbara Narducci of San Antonio, TX, and Christine Wright of Chapin, SC; three brothers; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.
Pallbearers will be the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
