Frances L. Tonge, 72, of Junction City, passed away on September 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and friends. A visitation will take place at Johnson Funeral Home, Thursday, September 28, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service will be held at the Ward Chapel AME Church, 1711 N Jefferson St, Junction City, KS 66441, on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Rollins.
Born March 21, 1951, she spent the majority of her life caring for her family and friends. She was known to many as mom and was always there for a friend in need.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charlie; two sons, Joseph Jr. and Jimmy; one brother, Henry; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of other family.
She is preceded by her mother, Matilda; one daughter, Shannon and two brothers, Kenneth and James.
Family requests any memorial contributions to be made to Ward Chapel AME Church, 1711 N Jefferson St, Junction City, KS 66441.
