Floyd N. VanDerWege, 67, of Junction City, KS died on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Via Christi Nursing Home in Manhattan, KS. Cremation will take place. No memorial service is planned.
Floyd was born April 16, 1954, in Batavia, NY the son of William and Ruth (Bates) VanDerWege.
Floyd served in the United States Army for six years. After his discharge from the United State Army, he worked as an over the road truck driver for many years. After his retirement from truck driving, he worked as a handyman doing various jobs.
He married Linda S. Anders on August 15, 1974.
Survivors include his wife Linda of the home in Junction City, KS. two sons, Bear N. Gooch of Milford, KS and David L. VanDerWege of Junction City, KS; his mother, Ruth VanDerWege; one daughter, Candi Torres of FL; two grandchildren; one brother, George VanDerWege; five sisters, Ellen Stoll, Wendy Ramage, Lucy, Sandy and Norma.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister Judy.
