Florence I. Stroud

Florence Irene Stroud, 77 of Junction City, passed away on Fri., Feb. 13, 2004 at the Mercy Health Center in Manhattan. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Mon., Feb. 16, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Father Al Brungardt will officiate. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Tue., Feb. 17, at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville, KS. She was born Dec. 8, 1926 in Coffeyville, KS. She was a check-out supervisor for eight years at Walmart, and she also worked at JC Cable TV and also a homemaker. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She was married to N.E. "Mike" Stroud (former Geary County Agriculture Extension Agent) on Feb. 6, 1946 in Coffeyville, KS. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1995.

Survivors include, two daughters, Anita Frye of Manhattan, KS. and Andrea Pair of Cherry Valley, IL. and one brother, Moses Smith of Bremerton, WA., seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, six sisters and one brother.
