Ewilda N. Foundation, 88, of Manhattan, formerly of Stockton, Calif., died Feb. 26, 2015 at Meadowlark Hills in Manhattan. Ewilda was born Oct. 21, 1926 in Stockton, Calif., the daughter of Manuel & Lucy Brown. She attended Edison High School in Stockton.
She moved to Wakefield to be close to her daughter in 1999. Ewilda was a homemaker and was active with the election board when she lived in Calif. She attended St. Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City.
She married John Foundation in Stockton in 1949. He died in 2003. Survivors include: a son, Jonathan Del Pozo and his wife Judy, Amarillo, TX; a daughter, Mary Kirk and husband John, Wakefield; 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bob & Bill, and a sister, Jenny.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Mar. 6, 2015 at St. Xavier Catholic Church, with Fr. Kerry Ninemire presiding. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery at Wakefield. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Xavier Catholic Church, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, Kansas 66441.
