Memorial services for Ewald "Jock" Rausch, 81, of Junction City will be held at 1 p.m., November 19, 2008 at the Bi-Centennial Manor, 1010 W. 8th Street. The family has announced that Mr. Rausch passed away at his residence on November 16, 2008. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the family.
Mr. Rausch was born March 8, 1927, St. Louis, MO to Walter and Della (Enders) Rausch. He served with the Army during World War II as a tank driver. He was stationed at Fort Riley, KS where he met Betty Warner and they were married November 4, 1947. He worked as a Union Cement Finisher for several years and traveled the country. In 1960 they made their home in Junction City where he worked at Jack & Dick's Pawn Shop for 17 1/2 years. He was a member of the St. Xavier Catholic Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Betty of Junction City, his children; Della Courtney, Pam and husband Ron Moretti, Sue and husband Darryl Schindler all of Junction City, Tim and wife Krista Rausch of Wilmington, NC, Pat and wife Vivienne Rausch of Springfield, OR, Donna (DeeDee) and husband Ed Jones of Piedmont, SC, Guy and wife Astric Rausch of Topeka, KS and Tina and husband David Thompson of Lakeport, CA, his brothers; Frank, Al, Gene and Bob and sisters; Wilma, Carol, Josephine and Dorothy, twenty grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter; Bobbie Jo; one brother; Walter and his twin sisters; Mary Margaret and Margaret Mary.
