Evelyn Underwood, 77, of Junction City passed away at her residence on August 30, 2012. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012, at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Thurman Young officiating. No visitation is planned. Memorial contributions have been designated to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
Mrs. Underwood was born December 20, 1934, Suffolk, VA to George and Mable (Backus) Bernard. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter Victoria DeBose of Manhattan, KS. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Cave Harris, III, Vanessa C. Roach, Christopher E. Harris and Branson M. Harris. She is also survived by one sister, Judith McGlotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother George Bernard, Sr. and one son, Micheal Marvin Williams in 1993.
