A Mass of Christian Burial for Eugene Edward Searls, 74, of Junction City, KS, will be Friday, March 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Saint Xavier's Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will take place on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 9:30 am until the time of the service at the church. Mr. Searls passed away on March 15, 2010 at Valley View Senior Life Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Xavier's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 399, Junction City, KS 66441.
Eugene was born September 21, 1935 in Junction City, Kansas to Clarence & Weeona (Overholtz) Searls. He had worked as a cabinet maker for over 20 years.
He is survived by his mother Weeona Elizabeth Overholtz Kidd of Junction City, three sisters, Patricia J.DeRouen of CA, Janice E. Smith of AZ and Mary E. Crowe of ND and many nieces and nephews.
Eugene was preceded in death by father Clarence Ward Searls and a brother Clifford.
