Mass of Christian Burial for Eugene "John" Francis Manns, 78, Topeka, will be 2:00pm Friday, May 5, 2006 at St. Xavier's Catholic Church, Junction City with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Manns passed away May 2, 2006 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM-1:30PM Friday, May 5, 2006 at St. Xavier's Catholic Church prior to the service with the parish rosary to be recited at 1:30 PM. Mr. Manns was born February 8, 1928 in Salina, KS the son of Stephen Anthony and Pauline Elizabeth Bachofer. He moved to Junction City at an early age. John served in the US Army. He was an appliance repairman for Lloyd Hubbard, Johnson Bros, and owned his own business before retiring from USD 475 as Maintenance Supervisor in 1990
John was married to Viola Jones Anderson November 27, 1954 in Junction City, KS, she survives at the home. Survivors include two step-daughters Viola Dreyer, Topeka, KS and Donna Anderson McCain, Valley Falls, KS; sister Joan Houser and brother Stephen Manns of Junction City, KS: four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by sister Josephine Morgan, brothers Bernard "BJ" J. Manns and Robert "Bob" Manns.
