Eugene "Mike" Johnston, 61, of Milford, KS passed away on October 7, 2018. No services are planned. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home of Junction City is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Mike was born on October 24, 1956, in Inglewood, California to Francis and Janice (Searls) Johnston. As a child of a military family, he was able to live in many places in the United States and abroad. As an adult, he had the pleasure of living in California where he was able to indulge in many of his passions such as riding his motorcycle, surfing, fishing, and scuba diving. He was a Master Plumber by trade and used his skills wherever he lived. Mike ultimately made Milford, Kansas, his home where he was able to continue to enjoy his outdoor hobbies. He worked as a Master Plumber in Clay Center and was known for his ornery, but good-hearted nature.
Eugene is survived by a host of loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather J.K. Smith, and his sister Weeona Johnston.
