Funeral Services for Ethlyn Opal Hartung, 87, rural Junction City, KS will be 10:00am Monday March 6, 2006 at First Christian Church 1429 St. Mary's Road with Pastor Ronnie Robert's officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Mrs. Hartung passed away March 2, 2006 at her home. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Sunday March 5, 2006 at First Christian Church. Ethlyn was born May 18, 1918 in Rozelle, KS the daughter of Victor D. and Ethel Mae (Roux) Callison. She was a homemaker and had lived at her present residence since 1938. Ethlyn was a member of First Christian Church and had taught Sunday school there.
She was married to Edward R. Hartung August 18, 1938 in Junction City, KS. He preceded her in death May 12, 2001. Survivors include: Two daughters Mary Shane, and Carol Varelman, both of rural Junction City; sister Gertrude Morine of LA: five grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Organist will be Roxie Johnston, Vocalist will be Bill Dodin.
Pallbearers will be Mac McTavish, Gerald Mathews, Warren Shane, Rick Howard, Scott Lang and Michael Leach.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Clowe, Bob Ingmire and Jack Barnes.
