Ethel Mae Vinson was born July 10, 1949 in Junction City, Kansas to George, Sr. and Willie B. (Ford) Vinson. They have preceded her in death.

Ethel attended Geary County USD #475 schools and graduated. She spent her entire life in the area. She raised her three children in Junction City and she worked on Fort Riley in the Dining Facilities for eight years until she was injured. Ethel never returned to work.

She was a different person after the injury, but she never stopped showing her love to family and friends. She was big hearted and always doing things for others. She was out-going and loved to cook. Spending time with family and friends was her greatest joy.
