Esther Marie Fink, 73, of Junction City, died Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Geary Community Hospital. Esther was born April 6, 1947 at Bennington, the daughter of Luther G. and Lolorene Vivian (Van Buskirk) Broiles.
Esther's father was in the newpaper business and he moved the family to Independence, Kansas when Esther was very young. Esther attended schools there and graduated from Independence High School in the Class of 1964. She later attended Cosmetology School and became a Hairdresser.
She was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church.
Esther married John A. Fink on December 28, 1982 in Junction City. John died October 2, 2000.
Survivors include: a son, Patrick Stebbins, Junction City; 2 daughters, Theresa M. Stebbins, San Antonio, Texas, and Theresa Nicole Fink, Junction City; a brother, Patrick Broiles, Colorado; a sister, Edith Jones, Belton, Missouri; and 6 grandchildren. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, and husband John.
It was Esther's wish to be cremated.
Due to the current environment surrounding the coronavirus, the family is planning a private family graveside inurnment service at Highland Cemetery.
Johnson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
