Ena Fern Kidd, 96, of Manhattan, KS, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2002 at the Stoneybrook Retirement Community in Manhattan, Kansas. Services will be held at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Saturday, November 30, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. with burial at Highland Cemetery in Junction City, KS. Pastor Darel Boston of the First Christian Church will officiate. She will lie in-state from 2-5:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 and the visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday.
She was born February 19, 1906, Everest, Kansas, the daughter of Raliegh T. and Dora Belle (Hardin) Weaver.
Married Clifford Howard Kidd, January 8, 1925 at Milford, KS, he
preceded her in death September 27, 1972.
Ena worked as a LPN in the 1950's and she was a homemaker,
she was a member of the First Christian Church and taught Sunday School, Bible Study and was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, she lived most of her life in the Milford, Wakefield and Junction City, KS , she had resided in Manhattan, KS for the last five years.
Survivors: Three Sons; Howard P. Kidd of Manhattan, Kansas, James W. Kidd of Kimball,NE and Norman L. Kidd of Highland, CA, Eleven Grandchildren, Six Step-Grandchildren,numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: Parents, Three brothers; Leonard, Kenneth and Donald Weaver,
Three Sisters; Dorothy Scherlocker, Ruth Sheaffer and Mateal Yount and One Grandson;
Johnathan Kidd.
Casket bearers will be Paul Hood, Jerry Weaver, Kenneth Sheaffer, Roger Sheaffer, Emil Scherlocker, Ron Ginest.
Organist will be Roxie Johnston and the vocalist is Marilyn Masterson
