Empo S. Murray, 69, of Junction City, passed away on February 16, 2016 at home. Cremation has taken place. No services are to be held. Memorials are suggested to the Empo Murray Memorial Fund or The American Cancer Society.
Empo was born on September 9, 1946, in Phoenix, Arizona, daughter to Harold and Billy (Woolem) Murray.
Empo was interested in interior design and hosting home parties. Her character was of strong conviction, and she made her opinion known. She will always be remembered for this trait.
She was a resident of Junction City, Kansas for many years.
Empo is survived by her loving children, one Son, Michael Allen Tieding and Husband Curtis Lewis of San Diego, CA; two Daughters, Jennifer Empo Cogswell and husband James Cogswell of Junction City, KS, Kindell Renee New and husband Wayne New of Junction City, KS; Grandson Ian Haynes Schillermann and nine other grandchildren; three Great-grandchildren; and her loving companion and fur baby, Matilda Rae Murray.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Harold S. Murray, Mother, Harlan (Billy) Empo Murray, and three Brothers.
