Emma M. Kubiak

Emma M. Kubiak, 79, of Alta Vista, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015, at the Geary Community Hospital surrounded with her family. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment services will be held at the Welcome Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Judes Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1905 or to the Hospice at Geary Community Hospital c/o Geary Community Healthcare Foundation PO Box 3015.

Emma was born November 20, 1935, in Obernzenn, Germany to Otto and Anna Mack.

Emma worked on her family farm in Germany. She later worked on the family farm with her husband in Eastern Geary County. She was a volunteer for the VFW. Emma enjoyed quilting and making crafts. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, hunting, and spending time with her family and friends. While traveling she collected plates and angels. Emma most of all enjoyed caring for her family.

She married Frank A. Kubiak February 1, 1958 in Germany. He passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015.

Survivors include her grandson James C. Hoelscher and his wife Teresa of Hooper Bay, AK and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her only child, James Kubiak.
